PC Cheer gets warmed up for Region Week

The Putnam County Competition Cheerleading team got a warm up last weekend at the Winter Spirit Spectacular as the Lady War Eagles prepare for region competition this weekend at Putnam County High School.
Putnam was not scored on points a The Spectacular but head coach Apr Smith was pleased with the results.
“Friday night was our best performance yet between injuries and girls in and out of quarantine,” she said. “We have to keep in mind our team had tryouts last March so we have been going when we can for almost a year.
“Every single girl on that floor gave all that they could, they are tired but they keep going - we are close to finishing the season strong. We just need to clean up a few areas. Every girl that needed to step up did, even if it meant a new position in stunting.”
