What: Dual Vision: Art through Di_erent Eyes - Opening Reception When: 5-8:30 p.m. Where: Barrel 118 - 118 N. Jefferson Ave., Eatonton More Info: All are invited for a reception to mark the opening of the 6th Annual Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes Exhibition and Sale. The event is free and open to the public. Dual Vision is a collaboration between The Artisans Village Guild and Associated Photographers of Lake Oconee (APLO). Each guild member picks one - two photos to transform into any medium of art of their choosing. This results in a beautiful side-by-side art show. The exhibit will be on display for the first time at Barrel 118 for the opening reception and a few special events before moving to The Artisans Village Art Gallery. What: Non-Prot Expo When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Where: Putnam County Administration Building More Info: The Non-Profit Expo will allow residents to see ways they can help in their own community, allowing non-profits to network, and provide greater awareness of the impact of non-profit organizations locally. Jefferson Avenue More info: The Artisans Village is offering two different Basket Weaving classes at a special location! Learn the basics of basket making by creating an 8” sampler basket using flat ash reed in the morning class. In the afternoon, they’re offering an 8-Point Star class. Jefferson Ave., Eatonton More Info: Join us for a special 45-minute special presentation on the importance of composition in the arts. Strong composition is fundamental for creating a successful work of art, music, or literature and affects how viewers interact with what we create. Please join us along with our guest speaker and artist, Lauren Adams, for an insightful talk about composition, design principles, and the important role they play in any creative endeavor. More info: Homecoming is about more than commemorating the anniversary of the church, it also serves to honor those before us that kept this wonderful church alive. We will start a new tradition this year with a special offering for local needs. Service by Pastor Ed Baker with special music by friends will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a covered-dish dinner.
