What: Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes When: Varied times daily Where: Barrel 118, 118 N. Jefferson Ave., Eatonton More Info: Dual Vision: Art through Different Eyes is an annual collaboration between The Artisans Village Guild and the Lake Oconee Photo Club. Members of The Guild recreate selected photos with any medium of their choosing. This results in a beautiful side-by-side show in downtown Eatonton, with Thursday’s 5-8 p.m. reception free and open to the public. All artwork and photos are for sale. The show continues at Barrel 118 on Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Dual Vision show will then move and be displayed at The Gallery through October. Other activities at Barrel 118 include Dual Vision craft cocktails on Friday evening and a Pet Portrait Painting class 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson St., Ste. 236, Eatonton More Info: In collaboration with the Georgia Superior Court Cooperative Authority (GSCCCA), Putnam County Clerk of Courts Trevor Addison will host a free notary training event. In light of recent legislative changes to Title 45, which governs notary publics, it is crucial for notaries to stay informed and up-to-date on their responsibilities. This training will cover: notary procedures, legal guidelines for Georgia notaries public, recent law changes (such as document signer identification, journal of notarial acts, required training for new notaries and those renewing, and new Putnam County notary requirements, including background checks. We will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month throughout the event, too.
