Georgia Writers Museum (GWM) is excited to announce that it will be starting a major renovation to make the museum even better.GWM will be closed to visitors from Thursday, April 4, through the summer.

Allied Arts debuts Janice Westfall exhibit

Hailing from Eatonton, Janice Westfall debuted her exhibit at the Marlor House in Milledgeville April 5.Westfall is a self-taught artist with over a decade of experience. In her earlier days, her artwork was in black and white but has evolved into a blossoming pool of color.

Troubadour Project concert to benefit Circle of Love

Circle of Love Center, Inc., an organization dedicated to standing firmly for everyone to live in a safe home environment, has announced the Troubadour Project will present a fundraiser concert on June 7 at Oconee Brewing in Greensboro.

Eatonton native, George Jordan Jr., reaches century mark

On April 6, Eatonton native George Jordan Jr. becomes a member of the exclusive centenarians club. The eldest of 15 siblings, George was educated in the Putnam County school system and shortly after completing high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Army to serve in World War II.
