A Fulton County grand jury indicted former President Donald Trump Monday night, charging the Republican with trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia that saw Joe Biden become the first Democrat to carry the Peach State since 1992.

Eatonton drug dealer sentenced to 30 years

A man who was arrested last year for selling drugs out of his vehicle in downtown Eatonton will spend basically the rest of his life in prison. Richie Solomon Burke, 51, formerly of Stribling Street, Eatonton, was sentenced by Chief Judge Brenda H.

Authorities seek public’s help for abandoned dog

A small dog was found in a crate on the side of the road Sunday, and authorities are seeking the public’s help finding the person who left him. “They just abandoned it on the side of the road in 100-degree temperatures,” Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell said.
