One dead, four hospitalized for overdoses

One Eatonton woman died last week from what is believed to be an overdose of a new street drug. Four others also overdosed, and two of them are still hospitalized. Two people were arrested, according to authorities. And Putnam County Sheriff’s Lt.

Insect fogger, stove cause kitchen fire

An insect fogger apparently caused an explosion in an Eatonton home, but injured no one, fire officials say. A resident on Sunnyland Drive called 911 a few minutes before 9 a.m.
