Dear Editor,
I would like to take the opportunity to respond to Mr. Menke from Athens in last week’s Eatonton Messenger. I’ll try to be gentle but direct.
He seems to have tunnel vision regarding the administration’s actions that benefit all Americans. Complaining that the current administration is blindly following President Trump’s agenda, an agenda he campaigned on and won on, such as “Make America Great, Safe, Healthy, and Prosperous,” again.
Instead of “blind loyalty,” is it really just President Trump’s cabinet et al, executing his multifaceted plans?
I wonder if Mr. Menke had issues with the denials and cover-up of Joe Biden’s apparent mental decline by so many of his followers? Or former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder saying he was Obama’s “wingman,” or Biden’s Merrick Garland being okay with targeting concerned parents at school boards, calling Catholics domestic terrorists, or believing his Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas' lie that “the border is secure”? I thank Mike Collins for helping to get the Laken Riley Act into law.
Business as usual over the last four years has not worked well, except for criminals and illegals.
I find it incredible that so called “progressives” fight so hard to keep things the same; specifically, high crime rates, generational poverty, high trade deficits, high tax rates, anemic economy, high inflation, high interest rates, obscene national debt, anemic military recruitment, demoralized law enforcement, funding government waste fraud and abuse, poor performing schools, obesity, enriching “Big Pharma,” trans women (aka biological men) in women’s sports and locker rooms, illegal drug overdoses … the list goes on and on.
I wonder if Mr. Menke is okay with the Dems’ threat to “pack the courts,” or get rid of the filibuster, removing all checks and balances?
Compared to the last administration, wage growth is up, GDP is up, capital investment is up, consumer confidence is up, IRA/markets are up, military recruitment is booming, and health awareness is up, so thankful for Robert Kennedy's exposure of unhealthy “norms” and the many ways he is making America Healthy Again.
I hope that the current administration continues to make strides in solving our country’s problems and improving it for generations to come.
