Lake Country Community Health Fair coming soon

The inaugural Lake Country Community Health Fair (LCCHF) will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 28 at Greene County’s Lake Oconee Academy.

This free event’s mission is to improve access to healthcare resources, provide preventive screenings, and offer wellness education for residents of Greensboro, Eatonton, Madison, and the surrounding area.

The LCCHF is intended to serve residents of all ages, with families, active adults, seniors, and newcomers invited to discover resources tailored to their needs and to connect directly with healthcare providers.

One of the most valuable aspects of the event will be the chance for relaxed, face-to-face conversations where attendees can ask questions and healthcare professionals can offer personalized guidance.

As Lake Country grows, so too does the need for centralized and accessible healthcare information. The Lake Country Community Health Fair aims to address this need by providing a one-day resource hub where residents can discover local services, build relationships, and navigate the local healthcare landscape with confidence.

The LCCHF will feature free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, glucose testing, posture screenings, body mass index (BMI) assessments, vision checks, mobility evaluations, and more, all provided by local healthcare professionals.

The event will also feature exhibitor booths representing a wide range of local healthcare, wellness services, and related businesses. These include medical clinics, dental and vision providers, physical therapy and chiropractic care, home health and hospice services, senior resources, insurance providers, mental health organizations, fitness professionals, and nonprofit health groups.
