I am wandering again. Maybe I should say I am also wondering. Why?
Because I think life is a mystery. We don’t have the slightest idea of tomorrow. We have our plans, yes. But the unexpected? No.
Okay, so much for the mystery. Let’s get on with some positive ideas and happenings. We have attended or read about so many events. Let’s start with the fourth Sunday in January. I attended two church services that day. First, St. John AME in the morning and then Mount Pleasant Church at 2 p.m.
I was also the MC there. What an honor. I pulled my shoulders up, threw my head back, and pranced back and forth, giving my message.
Did you hear me? I said my message. In my next article, I will pass on to the readers God’s vegetable garden. I promise.
Now, let’s talk about the weather. In all of my 85 years, I have not seen the weather as it has been lately. I called it unpredictable, and then a friend told me, “Just like you!”
Unpredictable. Okay.
Young people, get ready for Seuss on the Loose at Putnam County Primary School this Saturday morning. This is an annual event, and Mothers Against Crime will be participating as usual. See you Saturday.
Also, students from Gatewood and Putnam County High School, fill out your scholarship applications for Mothers Against Crime scholarships. Talk to your counselors. The forms are already at both schools.
The deadline is March 17th this year.
Also, remember that March 1st each year is Uncle Remus Day. The late President Jimmy Carter signed a proclamation for it. A copy can be viewed at the Uncle Remus Museum, right here in Eatonton. Stop by for a visit sometime.
I apologize if I am writing very scattered. I will get better next time, I promise.
My thought for today: Remember, I always say a person might try very hard to be my enemy, but that does not mean I am obligated to return the disfavor.
