In response to the letter from Mr. Thompson ( The Eatonton Messenger, Sept. 3, 2026), let me set the record straight.
A Dec. 19, 2006, article in The Union Recorder (retrieved from the Ina Dillard Russell library) reported that the Putnam County Board of Education voted 4-1 to approve the property on US Highway 441 for the site of the Putnam County High School.
