St. Mary’s Athens named among best rehab centers

For the seventh time, St. Mary’s Center for Rehabilitative Medicine (CRM) in Athens is on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical (inpatient) Rehabilitation Centers. This award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

“St. Mary’s is honored to be recognized again on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers,” Trinity Health Georgia President and CEO Stonish Pierce said. “We strive to help as many patients as possible return home after a serious medical event. It’s an important part of our mission to serve together as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.”

St. Mary’s CRM helps patients recovering from debilitating illnesses such as stroke gain the skills, confidence, and strength needed to return to active living.

“This award recognizes our commitment to coming together as an interdisciplinary team to best meet the needs of our patients,” St. Mary’s CRM Program Director Kimberly Collins said. “The conditions our patients experience can be devastating. We are proud that more than 86% of those we care for are able to return home to be with their loved ones.”
