My soapbox is portable now because I can pull it out and brag about Eatonton and Putnam County everywhere. Be careful and don’t trip over the wheels.
Oh gosh, I forgot to tell you, I am a great-grandmother again, as of April 17. This is number 18. What a blessing.
I am so proud of the new businesses opening up. We are growing (not too big) but cozy, family-like and very friendly. I am also so proud of the renovation of several beautiful homes.
The butterfly garden is really getting lots of visitors. I hear so many positive comments from visitors. Believe it or not, we receive visitors from all over. I meet visitors at The Uncle Remus Museum on Friday and Saturday from multiple states and other countries. What do I do? I am concerned (remember). I direct them to visit the Chamber and drive around our beautiful county.
I personally think the light is still getting brighter and do not stop praying.

Hats off to our BOE and school system. You are doing a great job. Remember (PCHS and Gatewood), these are our future leaders. Keep them coming. City and county leaders, you are keeping the dream alive, also.
I know this is very unusual, but we celebrate birthdays at my house in April and October. Everyone is invited (I mean everybody). It goes quite well because people like Jennifer Vining and staff (with tent setup). Thank you, Jennifer.
On Mother’s Day, I will be speaking at St. John AME Church at 11 a.m. (subject: wandering down memory lane). I need your attendance.
