Dear editor:
In response to Mr. Hersey’s letter to the editor last week, he is, as usual, trying his magic math to get something he wants. However, I suspect his tax relief plan is all about trying to win back the BOC Chairmanship. I am over 70 years of age and refuse to fall for it!
If Mr. Hersey was still on the school board or the BOC, I seriously doubt he would ever propose such a thing. No doubt the tax loss from his proposal would be made up by other tax payers, not hypothetical savings. Do all the other tax payers want to pay more? Don’t think so!
Hopefully our tax payers can see through this song & dance that is designed to sway a segment of the voters in the upcoming election. You know, all the free stuff comes with a cost to someone!
