Briar Patch community excels in arts
Dear editor: It just keeps happening. Our Briar Patch community continues to connect through the arts.
The opening reception of Dual Visions at Barrell 118 (Sept. 15) combined photography, painting, sculpting, basket weaving, and jewelry crafting, along with culinary arts provided by Putnam High School students, under the direction of Penny Reynolds.
Their buffet was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the taste buds.
All this while local musicians played soft music in the background. And I must add, the décor of the building is a piece of art in and of itself. What a perfect place for the arts to connect!
