Dear editor: I’m writing this letter on behalf of B.W. “Bill” Sharp to support him in his race to be to be chairman of the Putnam County Board of Commissioners. His proven leadership as commissioner of the 3rd district, former member and chairman of Putnam Development Authority, former chairman and member of EPWSA, and former chairman and member of Board of Equalization sets the stage for him to be chairman of the BOC.
As a retired engineer and successful sales and marketing executive and Certified Putnam County Commissioner, Bill also is a graduate of Leadership Putnam, a community advocate, and member of the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce.His career work and civic work give him the experience for the job.
But one of the most important reasons I’m supporting Bill is his trustworthiness. He is currently an active member of The First Baptist Church, Eatonton. He is past chairman of personnel and has served on the finance and mission committees. He is also is the former chairman of Deacons, Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee and CFO, Sunday School Teacher and currently a member of the choir.
Bill is supported by his lovely wife of 57 years, Jennie B.
Sharp. They have two children and five grandchildren. I appreciate Bill’s willingness to serve.I urge all of you to vote forB.W. “Bill” Sharp on November 8th or during the early voting period. I believe Putnam County’s future will be in good hands with B. W. “Bill” Sharp as chairman of the BOC.
