The Putnam County High School wrestling team traveled on Nov. 29, to face former region foe, Lamar County, in Barnesville.
The Trojans of Lamar are five-time region champions and defeated Putnam 72-9 last year in the region finals. The War Eagles’ wrestling program has been growing stronger each year, though, and the team has every intention to best Lamar and continue building a reputation.
