Thanks to the efforts of the United Methodist Women at Eatonton First United Methodist Church (EFUMC), the church’s youth program, and the Gleaners Sunday School class, 49 Easter baskets were prepared and delivered recently to the local DFACS office for the Lake Area Easter Baskets for Foster Children project.
Pictured with some of the baskets are (l-r): Jo Ann Bigelow, Joe DeLoach, Cathy Griffin, and Lynn Gary. Bigelow and Griffin coordinated the church effort, while DeLoach is the youth programs director and leader of the Gleaners Sunday School class, and Gary serves as UMW unit president at EFUMC. This marks the fourth year the church has participated in the Easter baskets project.
