To be used of God is an awesome and humbling thing.
The sad reality is that not all heed His calling. The Good Book tells us that, “It is God who is at work in us to will and to act according to His good pleasure.” Phil. 2:13 We’re so grateful that over five years ago, Melinda Spivey heeded the call and approached us about doing a fashion show fundraiser to benefit First Call Pregnancy Center. From its humble beginnings in 2019, raising just over $4,400, this year’s 5th annual Spring Fashion Show Fundraiser saw combined donations of over $52,000.
The past five years have seen the hard work of Melinda and her awesome team of volunteers, as well as countless sponsors, donors, and attendees, aid First Call in raising over $100,000 in vital funds. We are continuously amazed at the way God provides and the beautiful people He uses!
Fundraisers come and go, and they play a very large part in the life of a non-profit. We’re extremely thankful for Spivey Jewelry & Fashion and the part they’ve played to help keep First Call Pregnancy Center healthy, thriving and serving our wonderful Lake Area community.
