Once again, I experienced the community coming together, not through the arts this time, but through the love of botany and books at the Georgia Writers Museum.
Author Dan Chapman spoke to a standing-room-only crowd about his book, A Road Running Southward, in which he chronicles his trek along botanist John Muir’s (pre-Civil War) journey through the South.
I thank and commend GWM Director Melissa Swindell, GWM President Lou Benjamin, and Virginia Linch, director of Butterflies and Blooms on the Briar Patch, for connecting the community and helping more people become aware of what treasures we have here in the Briar Patch.
