The golden era of rock-n-roll came to Greensboro’s Oconee Brewery on Saturday evening as The Troubadour Project played to benefit The Circle of Love, an emergency safe shelter and resource center for domestic violence victims and their children in Greensboro.
Playing great rock music and timeless classics, The Troubadour Project covered the hits from bands such as Supertramp, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, and Electric Light Orchestra, bringing the audience back to the timeless sounds of the ‘70s.
This event, in which all monies went to the building fund for The Circle of Love, was a sold-out success. Founded in 1997 as the Greene County Family Violence Task Force, it was initially established to provide a support service to prevent domestic violence. In 2002, it found its new purpose, and the name was changed to The Circle of Love.
Offering residential and non-residential services for five counties – Greene, Morgan, Putnam, Baldwin, and Hancock – The Circle of Love is committed to creating a safe space for domestic violence victims while raising awareness and understanding of the domestic violence problem within these counties.
The Circle of Love also offers a 24-hour hotline service, counseling, legal advocates, transport, and much more, with its goal to empower victims of domestic abuse with the life-changing services needed to heal and move forward.
