During last Monday's city council meeting, the City of Eatonton and the Eatonton GICH (Georgia Initiative for Community Housing) team announced the 2024 Community Christmas Decorating Contest winners.
In the resident’s contest, Alejandro and Deyanira Mendez (101 Tecumseh Ave.) took first place; Donna, Lex, and Ryan Waters (134 Greensboro Rd.) placed second, and third went to Melinda Ingram (429 W. Marion St.).
Meanwhile, Taylor Floral Design & Gifts (124 W. Marion St.) won the commercial contest, followed by Tienda Tarimoro (107 S. Oak St.) and Hallman Wood Products (125 Lower Harmony Rd.) in third. City Administrator
Gary Sanders congratulated each winner, thanked everyone who entered, and encouraged all citizens and businesses to enter the contest next year.
