Dear editor: At the end of summer, I’m always sorry to see the Eatonton pool close.
Usually, the morning “adult swim” hours end at the beginning of August. This year, I’d like to give special thanks to the Putnam County Recreation staff for finding a creative solution to provide adult swim several days each week in August.
We swimmers might have irregular schedules, but we appreciate the chance to exercise in the pool through August.
Eatonton’s pool is a wonderful facility for Putnam County. It sends a signal to the community that we want folks to have access to swimming: for fun, for safety, and for exercise.
Thank you, Debi and Scott, for making it happen!
