Dear editor:
Education, experience, leadership, accomplishment, integrity and a heartfelt desire to improve our community. Thankfully, there is a candidate for Chairman of the Putnam County Board of Commissioners that embodies all of these qualifications.
Under his financially sound leadership the county made it through the closure of Plant Branch and actually improved basic services. He was 100% involved. I know that because I served with him.
Prior to that, and importantly, his leadership turned around our failing public education system. Putnam County’s school children now have a real chance for excellence. He helped to raise the graduation rate, create our Charter System and Career Academy while bringing a sense of optimism to the school system.
Putnam County has some outstanding opportunities and some real challenges ahead, so let’s elect a leader with a proven track record -someone that will give 100% and work hard for ALL of us.
