Dear Editor,
In this day and age, few are surprised by much of anything. However, if you look more closely at what is right in your own community, you just might be surprised.
For example, if you want a cup of coffee produced by a fine Italian espresso machine served by two people who flew to Italy to be trained on it, look no further than Sylvia’s. Yet, what is served along with the coffee is such a poignant surprise.
Consider Michael’s witty puns and Diana’s smiles, or the cute little foam hearts that float atop their cappuccinos, their cheerful reactions to a group of women laughing and occasionally shrieking, their hard work, their contribution to the community. Put all that and so much more together, and you have it.

Actually, I could celebrate so many places of business in downtown Eatonton. But today is the day to celebrate what Michael and Diana Homeier have given to us. Just wanted to say … thank you.
