Dear Editor,
I am writing to respond to the person that wrote an editorial about Jimmy Davis Park's leadership being “AWOL” ( The Eatonton Messenger, April 20). I think it’s funny how that same person has been a cheerleader and praised that very leadership for a long time, but now speaks about their absence in action when it comes to Jimmy Davis Park.
I would never praise any type of leadership for giving out hollow promises, nor making any true actions toward any type of matters that need to be done for the public. That person said at the beginning of the editorial that it “saddens me to write to the citizens of this community that the issue with Jimmy Davis Park has still not been resolved.”
Well, it “saddens me” that people are praising elected officials for doing nothing. To the person who wrote that editorial about JDP, I would sit this one out.
