Dear Editor,
This might be of interest to those folks who still read Time magazine. The April 24 edition contains their annual list of “The World’s 100 Most Influential People,” and for the 82nd year in a row, I was not on it. Another couple of years of this kind of snub and I may cancel my subscription (some humor intended).
On to a better and more uplifting subject. The community “Operation Pick Up” event on Saturday was an unmitigated success. Thanks to the cadets from GMC and Putnam County’s JROTC for providing the manpower for the cleanup. Many kudos and my personal thanks to the folks and organizations who supported the cadets on their assigned projects.
Their combined efforts make me proud to live in Putnam County.
Billy Webster, Putnam County
