Scarecrow contest lover

Dear editor: The Plaza Arts Center is “committed to connecting the community through the arts.” How I love it when I see the community jump on board with that commitment, like Eatonton Main Street does with their annual Scarecrow Contest.

I look forward to this event every year to see all the creativity and artistic talent that abound in our Briar Patch. Registration is underway and open to all.

Winners will be determined by Briar Patch residents who can connect with their community by expressing their artistic taste through their votes.

To register, go to_www.downtowneatonton.com_or the office at City Hall, 201 N. Jefferson Avenue. Whether by entering or just voting, I’m hoping y’all take advantage of this opportunity to connect!
