Letter to the Editor: Ice cream, birthdays, guest speakers and love

Dear Editor, This past week was absolutely great. Plenty of activities, food, et cetera. Our little town is really showing its true colors. There are activities galore and you don’t want to miss any of them. The events started with the Ice Cream Social at the Old School History Museum.

Dear Editor, How appropriate, considering Putnam’s rich history with horses, that a striking mural of a livery stable graces our town. Once the heart of harness racing in the South, John Manley and his sons Emory and Leon brought fame and fortune to the Briar Patch.
