More than 25 years ago I married a cute, little brunette from South Alabama. I’m not sure to this day why she said yes, but it’s definitely the best sales job I ever did. In any case, weddings were a lot different back then, in the days before social media and digital photography.

Trio of War Eagles power Putnam past Butler

Putnam County recorded its second-straight win Friday, defeating Butler in its Region 4-AA opener. War Eagles’ running backs Rashod Daniel and Kaleb Crawford combined to rush for 211 yards and three scores as the War Eagles defeated Butler 35-12 in their Region 4-AA opener last Friday.

Bulldogs set to face Blazers on Saturday

No. 1 Georgia (3-0) is set to face UAB (1-2) Saturday in Athens for its fourth straight home game. The Bulldogs and Blazers have met three previous times, with the most recent being in 2021 in Athens.

Top-ranked Georgia (2-0) opens up its SEC slate as it hosts division rival South Carolina (1-1) on Saturday. The Bulldogs are looking forward to extending their home winning streak of 20 games against the Gamecocks, who are coming off a 41-21 victory over Furman this past Saturday.
