A Putnam County father was arrested on Christmas Day on charges related to abusing his children. Putnam County jail reports reveal Charlie Robert Rodriguez-Diaz, 49, of Walnut Way, Eatonton, was arrested shortly after 9 a.m. Dec.

PCHS showcases artistic talent

Holiday cheer filled the halls and walls of Putnam County High School on Dec. 8, as Holiday in Our Halls showcased the artwork and various talents of numerous students. Among the biggest displays was a Christmas tree lane, which also served as a fundraiser for several PCHS student organizations.

Cows come home for local photographer

Eatonton’s own Rita Harman submitted the winning entry to the annual Georgia Association of Conservation Districts (GACD) Photo Contest. Harman’s shot of several cows feeding at a farm near Hwy. 16 in Putnam County won the district contest and earned her entry into a statewide competition.
