Spring is the time of the year for many sports to peak. Someday, and I feel sooner than later, UGA basketball coach Mike White will have us excited about his team making the playoffs. He will get us into March Madness.

UGA sports history on display at library

In a statewide traveling program initiated by University of Georgia (UGA) Athletics History Specialist and collection archivist Jason Hasty in 2016, several unique reminders of the school’s sporting success were on display last Friday at the Eatonton-Putnam County Public Library.

UGA bringing historical exhibits to Eatonton

The University of Georgia’s Hargrett Rare Books and Manuscripts Library is bringing some of its athletics- and Putnam-related holdings to Eatonton this Friday. The exhibits will be in the Eatonton-Putnam Library and next door in the Plaza’s Old School History Museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
