Rebels get redemption over Dawgs in Sugar Bowl

NEW ORLEANS – The Allstate Sugar Bowl wasn’t sweet to Georgia for a second consecutive year, as the No. 3 Bulldogs lost to No. 6 Ole Miss 39-34 in the CFP quarterfinal matchup Jan. 1 at the Caesars Superdome.

Dawgs weigh in on loss to Rebels in Sugar Bowl

For a second straight year, Georgia’s season has ended in the Allstate Sugar Bowl and CFP quarterfinals. Ole Miss knocked off the Bulldogs with a 39-34 win after losing the regular-season matchup 43-35 on Oct. 18.

Stockton ready for return to NOLA, rematch with Rebels

Last season’s Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame left a “bad taste” in the mouth of Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton.It was Stockton’s first career start after replacing Carson Beck against Texas in the SEC Championship game.

Luckie, Stockton lead Georgia offense over Rebels

Gunner Stockton and Lawson Luckie delivered strong performances for Georgia in its 43-35 win over Ole Miss. The two Bulldogs played a key role in the team’s offensive success, totaling a season-high 510 yards against the Rebels on Saturday.

Dawgs complete comeback over Ole Miss

Georgia put on a clinic in the fourth quarter against No. 5 Ole Miss to earn a big, come-from-behind win.The Rebels led by nine points entering the final period of regulation, but the No. 9 Bulldogs scored 17 unanswered points to get the 43-35 victory.

After a physical 20-10 win over Auburn, No. 9 Georgia will face another tough test in No. 5 Ole Miss this week.Despite being ranked below the Rebels (6-0, 3-0) in the AP Poll, the Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1) are favored by 6.5 points.
