Putnam County wrestling teams wrap up season

The Putnam County wrestling program wrapped up the 2025-26 season this past weekend at the GHSA state traditionals tournament at The Arena at Southlake in Morrow.Between both the boys and girls teams, Putnam sent five grapplers to the state tournament.

Putnam wrestling sends five to state traditionals

The Putnam County wrestling program will be well represented at the state traditionals meet this weekend. The team is sending five wrestlers to compete for individual state titles.

Quick turnaround awaits PC girls wrestlers

Weather delays and a highly competitive region have created a quick turnaround for the Putnam County girls wrestling team as it begins the traditional postseason.

Putnam girls wrestling makes history

The Putnam County girls wrestling team recently made program history by winning its first area duals title.The Lady War Eagles have 22 teams in their area but came out on top at the tournament on Jan. 10, defeating defending champion Oglethorpe County in the finals.
