Gusty winds pummel Putnam last week

High winds wreaked havoc in Putnam County last week, causing significant damage, man hours, and inconvenience. Local authorities and electric companies reported downed trees that caused power, cell phone, and internet outages, as well as several damaged vehicles on Thursday and Friday.

Home cleaved and crushed, Putnam family escapes alive

At 1:20 a.m. last Thursday, the Johnson family of Hickory Point Drive in northeast Putnam County lived through a nightmare that many others have no doubt considered but prayed never to experience.

Confirmed tornado batters Baldwin

Baldwin County faced a terrifying tornado on Sunday, March 26, that caused a variety of damage. The Milledgeville Police Department began posting updates early Sunday morning about road debris and power lines down on Martin Luther King Jr.
