Habitat hopes to hit right note with Songwriters Night

With guitars, good food, and a mission to build more homes, Putnam County Habitat for Humanity (PCHFH) is gearing up for one of its most anticipated fundraisers ever: a Songwriters Night designed to bring the community together while supporting affordable housing.

HFHP receives $10K grant from Tri-County EMC

Habitat for Humanity of Putnam (HFHP) was awarded a $10,000 Operation Roundup grant from Tri-County EMC last month to support the construction of HFHP home No. 29.

Habitat for Humanity hosts Building Hope Gala

Habitat for Humanity of Putnam held its inaugural Building Hope Gala Nov. 14 at Barrel 118 in Eatonton. A sold-out crowd of more than 150 patrons donated generously through various auctions and monetary gifts.

Habitat for Humanity holds groundbreaking in Eatonton

Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County held a groundbreaking ceremony on Sept. 25 on Standish Avenue, near Mohican Drive in Eatonton.HFH Putnam Executive Director Murali Thirumal said, “It has been a little while” since the organization started building a new house, but he hopes more will come soon.

New home for Putnam Habitat for Humanity

It’s been in the works for two-and-a-half years but officially became a reality last Thursday when Habitat for Humanity of Putnam (HFHP) Board President Bucky Kahl cut the ribbon to open the organization’s new ReStore building at 866 Harmony Rd., Eatonton.

Putnam Habitat creating ‘opportunity’ with home builds

In 1985, the United Nations declared the first Monday of October as World Habitat Day, intended for worldwide reflection on the basic right of everyone to adequate shelter.

Putnam County Habitat for Humanity (HFH) held a groundbreaking ceremony last Wednesday at 109 Nicks Way, near the Ingles grocery store in Eatonton.
