Presented by The Arts Barn and The Plaza Arts Center, Sylvia's Coffee in downtown Eatonton hosted its first Mocha House Friday night.

Georgia Writers Museum ready for next chapter

The doors are closed right now at Eatonton’s favorite free attraction, the Georgia Writers Museum (GWM) and its accompanying bookstore on South Jefferson Avenue, just up the street from the historic Pex Theater and across the road from the iconic Putnam County courthouse.

‘Encouraging’ start for Sylvia’s Coffee in Eatonton

To the cheers of more than 50 people crowded into Sylvia’s Coffee last Friday morning, co-owner Michael Homeier cut the ceremonial red ribbon, marking the long-awaited official opening of Eatonton’s first downtown coffee shop in years.
