“I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream,” was said by someone and repeated through the generations to come.
On Wednesday, May 25, the ELKS Lodge 2849, gave the residents at the Georgia War Veterans Home a cake and ice cream social.
The Festivities were attended by 24 residents and there were nine Elk volunteers. It was a beautiful sunn day, and everybody enjoyed sitting and getting to know one another.
Lodge 2849 also presented the Home with a check for $900, from the Freedom Grant, to be used to make a raised garden in front of a new building on campus that will give housing and therapy to veterans with severe brain trauma from the Persian Gulf war.
