With Farmers & Merchants Bank celebrating its 100th anniversary in Eatonton and Putnam County this year, the City of Eatonton, through its Main Street Eatonton office, wanted to recognize and honor the bank’s achievement by naming its employees as Grand Marshals for this year’s Eatonton Christmas Parade.
The annual Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 10, starting at 1 p.m. from Putnam County Elementary School (314 S. Washington Ave.). Spectators can watch the parade travel along S. Jefferson Ave, then N. Jefferson Ave. before turning left onto W. Wayne St., left onto N.
Madison Ave., right onto Marion, and left onto S. Washington, heading back to the school.
After the parade, parents and kids alike can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 2-5 p.m. for free photographs (with your own camera) at Eatonton City Center Stage, followed by a Christmas-themed movie at 5:30 p.m.
