New wellness director named at Reynolds Lake Oconee

Reynolds Lake Oconee has named Tyler Mayer its new Director of Wellness, responsible for overseeing operations for member wellness, fitness, spa, racquets, paddle, and aquatics activities.

Prior to joining Reynolds, Mayer served as director of fitness at Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale, Az. He also held positions as the lifestyle director at Blackstone Country Club in Vistancia, Az., sports club manager at Arrowhead Country Club and as an event manager for Walt Disney World Resorts at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida. Additionally, he has managed several large commercial gyms such as World Gym and 24-Hour Fitness.

“Tyler’s background and experience complement our philosophies of lifetime wellness,” said Jason Plazola, general manager at Reynolds Lake Oconee. “We provide our members with the latest and best available facilities and programming. Now, with Tyler’s extensive knowledge and enthusiasm, a new level will be attained.”

Mayer, his wife Jenna, and sons Nathan (10) and Andrew (7), and their 70-pound Weimaraner will reside in Greensboro.
