Paint Between the Lines turns words into images

Kevin Tomson-Hooper of The Artisans Village (TAV) in downtown Eatonton delivered the closing comments for Paint Between the Lines, a first-time collaborative event this year between TAV and Georgia Writers Museum (GWM), which saw writers submit short, less-than-300-word stories that artists then drew inspiration from to create new artworks. Following a successful debut Aug. 14 at GWM, there was so much interest that a second reading of different stories inspiring different artists was held last Saturday night at Barrel 118 in Eatonton. No awards or prizes were on the line but overwhelming interest from both sides of the equation clearly dictated Paint Between the Lines will return as an annual event for local writers, artists, and aficionados of either discipline
