It was raining hard, and the skies were dark outside Sunday, but everything was bright inside St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro as they officially dedicated new, upgraded diagnostic equipment and facilities.

GWM hosts PCHS Live and Drive Book Fair

As part of their curriculum for Project Success, a school-year-long service leadership class for seniors taught by Rebekah Esau at Putnam County High School, students conceived of, organized and presented the Live and Drive Book Fair Mar. 10, at Georgia Writers Museum (GWM) in downtown Eatonton.

The Big Event a big success

The 2023 Big Event, hosted by the Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA) took place Saturday at Lake Oconee Village, with 144 local exhibitors on hand. They included home builders, remodelers and building suppliers, among others involved in the construction industry.

Grammy winner’s concert to benefit LOA arts program

Mike Farris, who won the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album (“Shine for All the People”), will be performing on March 31, at Oconee Brewing Company (OBC) in downtown Greensboro. All proceeds from the special, one-night-only event will benefit the arts program at Lake Oconee Academy (LOA).

Broyles helps bump up PGH finances

Tim Broyles of State Farm Insurance in Eatonton recently provided Putnam General Hospital (PGH) with a $5,000 check. This donation will be instrumental to the PGH Foundation in continuing to finance improvements at the hospital.
