BOE recognizes art winners, hears updates on new school

The Putnam County Board of Education hosted its first work session of 2023 on Monday. The meeting began with selecting Dr. Steve Weiner to continue his position as chairman for the next two years. The board unanimously agreed he was the best candidate.

‘Cannonball’ Adderley coming to Festival Hall

Festival Hall in Greensboro will play host Feb. 23, to “Cannonball” Adderley, Preaching the Gospel of Jazz, as the opening act of its 2nd annual Jazz Legacy Project. Known as 'Country Preacher,' this Florida school teacher turned into a jazz icon after giving New York City a try.

Citizen soldiers benefit from local support

The Kim & Lin Logan Team, a local real estate broker, was recently recognized by the 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB), a Georgia Army National Guard division, for its ongoing support of deployed and deployed soldiers.
