A Greene County man died in a tragic accident on his job shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.
Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said 24-year-old Trampus “T.J.” Shelnutt was working at Oconee Sand and Gravel. For unknown reasons, Shelnutt walked into the path of a moving Caterpillar 930M Wheel Loader with a front bucket attachment and was run over by the vehicle.
