Business has not stopped for the NAPA Auto Parts store in Eatonton, even though it had to shut its doors last week due to a fire.
“We are fully operating out of the Milledgeville store right now,” said Eatonton store employee Bronson Sheriff.
Customers may call the Eatonton store’s phone number, and their call will go directly to the Milledgeville location, where they may talk with the same employees who handled their needs in Eatonton. Deliveries are still being made to each of Eatonton NAPA’s commercial accounts, and, except for the location, business continues as usual, and all the employees are still working.
A fire began on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Eatonton NAPA location on Oak Street as employees were opening the store around 7:45 a.m., according to Eatonton Fire Chief Jamey Williamson.
Firefighters and firetrucks of Eatonton Fire Department and Putnam County Fire Department battled the blaze for several hours.
Williamson said the state fire marshal determined the fire started around the HVAC system in the building's interior loft.
No one was injured in the fire.
