A single-vehicle crash took the life of a man and seriously injured a woman over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, according to authorities.
William “Kevin” Duncan, 64, of Lower Harmony Road, Eatonton, was killed in the crash, and his female passenger was injured and flown by Air Evac helicopter to Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon. In their posts on Facebook about the loss of their friend, Duncan’s friends said the passenger was his wife, Vickie.
According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper James Spisak, Duncan was driving a Ford Ranger eastbound on Deepstep Road and while going around a curve near the intersection of Oquinns Pond Road in Milledgeville, Duncan crossed the centerline, went off the left side of the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Spisak said Duncan was traveling at a high rate of speed and neither of the vehicle’s occupants was wearing a seatbelt.
