An Eatonton man was killed while driving home from work this morning, authorities say.
Emergency personnel found that Kyle Philip Richardson had already died when they arrived on scene at the accident at 8:07 a.m., according to Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills.
Richardson, 36 of Bluegill Road, was driving home from his shift at Interfor, Sills said. Shortly after turning off Twin Bridges and onto Southshore Road, Richardson’s Subaru went off the side of the road. Richardson apparently overcorrected, which caused his Subaru to spin out of control.
“He hit some trees and went airborne,” Sills said.
He also noted that “speed was definitely a factor.”
