Grease Monkey stands apart from competition

Grease Monkey, a locally owned automobile service, recently opened its doors at 101 Walmart Dr. in Eatonton.

“We opened this location on Dec. 15 built on customer service,” said James Painter, co-owner of Grease Monkey. “We consider convenience, customer opinion, the vehicle, and more for every service.”

Grease Monkey offers customer service that is different from competitors. When servicing your vehicle, they consider time, convenience, and cost.

If they discover anything during service, Painter states that the customer will be informed immediately and will have the final decision before anything is done to their vehicle.

“When you come to get an oil change, we vacuum out your car's interior, fill all of the fluids underneath, wash the windows outside, and do your tires. No other oil change services do that around here,” said Painter. “If you need anything, like new filters, we consult the customers first. Nothing is forced.”

As a locally owned and operated business, Painter states that Grease Monkey serves to help the community and make connections with its customers. In addition, Painter hopes to eventually pass the business to his son to support his family and keep the business local.

“My inspiration was to start a business that was not economy-driven and could be left to my son,” said Painter. “Everyone needs service done to their vehicle, which means this business can last in the community.”

Grease Monkey’s services include oil changes, tire rotations, transmission and radiator flushes, battery services, battery fluid exchange, light bulb replacement, diagnostic testing, wiper blades, filters, and more. “We are locally owned and involved in the community. My co-owner, Doug Price, and I both live here. His wife is a veteran, and mine works in the school system,” said Painter. “So, we are here for the customer and the community.”
