The Greensboro Business Association, made up of merchants and restaurants in the downtown area, is pleased to announce its inaugural Downtown Greensboro Christmas Village, Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., complete with a visit from Santa Claus.
Downtown Greensboro hosts its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the first Friday each December, scheduled this year for Dec. 2, beginning at 6 p.m.
The day after the tree lighting, the Greensboro Business Association will host its Christmas Village event, with Santa ready to greet kids and take photos with him from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 111 N. Main St., Greensboro, with no appointments or reservations necessary.
In addition to Santa Claus coming to town, the Christmas Village will feature food trucks and a Maker’s Market with several vendors selling handmade gifts inside Lake & Local at 104 S.
Main St., and a jewelry pop-up at The Pink Stitch at 112 N. Main St.
The Yesterday Cafe, The Ripe Thing, Family Ties BBQ, and Los Torres restaurants also will be open for the festive family event. Downtown merchants will have other activities and treats, too, inside each shop throughout the day.
