Tanner named salesperson of the month for Reynolds

Real estate office Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties recently announced Micki Tanner as its August salesperson of the month.

Originally from Albany, Tanner moved from Chicago to Reynolds Lake Oconee in 1999, and joined the Reynolds real estate team the next year as a resale manager. She became a buyer’s agent in the fall of 2001 and since then has built an impressive real estate career and reputation.

“What attracted me to Reynolds was the lake, golf, and natural beauty of the area. But the real value of the community is found in the wonderful people that call Reynolds home,” Tanner said.

Tanner has been recognized with awards several times in the past for going above and beyond in the community, including the Reynolds Lake Oconee Sales Helping Hands Award, Good Neighbor Award, Realtor of the Year, and the Phoenix Award and Eagle Award from the Lake Country Board of Realtors (LCBR).

She also served as a past president, board member and state director of the Lake Country Board of Realtors. Last year, Tanner received The President’s Award, an achievement earned through many years and hours of helping LCBR fulfill its mission.

“I am very impressed with Micki’s performance,” Senior Vice President of Sales for Reynolds Lake Oconee Properties Karen Saltzbart said. “She is such an asset to our team and to all of her clients.”

Beyond work, Tanner is an arts lover and a longtime and passionate supporter of the Oconee Performing Arts Society, as well as the Eatonton and Lake Country theater troupes. She also attends four to five shows each year at The Atlanta Opera.

Tanner remains an active member of the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties and for 20 years has made monthly deliveries for Meals on Wheels. She enjoys playing golf and bridge, cheering on the Florida State University and Tennessee football teams, and serving as a member and lector at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church.

Tanner’s greatest loves remain her husband, John, daughter and son-in-law Cecelia and Matt, stepdaughter Susan, stepson and daughter-in-law Andy and Marti, and four grandchildren. And always holding a special spot in her heart remains her daughter, Anne Tanner Berry, gone but never forgotten and forever loved.
