Sheriff: $2 million reported stolen; ‘Talk to us and let us handle it’
A Texas woman was arrested for scamming more than $280,000 from a Putnam County resident, according to authorities.
Putnam County Sheriff Howard R. Sills said he received a call from the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security that the woman was trying to fly out of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and go to Nigeria.
